How to create an Arabic interior
Any style of interior can attract with some of its special features. But it is very noticeable that most modern interior styles have some kind of versatility - they will look equally organic in any country, with any ethnic characteristics. Such styles attract rather with their appearance or practical convenience. Ethnic interior styles have a slightly different direction. Of course, they also attract the consumer with their appearance, but the essence of this appearance lies in the history and ethnic characteristics in which this style was formed. Simply put, in ethnic interior styles, the exoticism and depth of the culture that you are immersed in this way plays a much greater role.

One of the most striking representatives of ethnic interior styles is the oriental interior, but it is possible to distinguish Asian and Arabic trends in it. And it is about Arabic that we will talk. It cannot be said that this is the best style, because there are no comrades for the taste and color. But we won't talk about it. Instead, we will tell you about the design features of this interior style. And to decide whether you like it, whether it suits you and whether you want to see it in the interior is already your task.
The Arabic style of the interior always looks catchy, expensive, chic, rich. And this is the most characteristic feature, which is appropriate in very rare moments. For example, in the Arabic style, such interior solutions are considered canonical, and without them, the Arabic style will not be Arabic. But if we transfer these solutions to the modern interior of a European country, then everyone will unanimously say that everything looks vulgar, catchy, and the interior itself looks like the decoration of the house of a person who wants to show his wealth, but does not understand the concept of expensive simplicity. Also, the Arabic style is characterized by bright colors, artsy forms of furniture. But at the same time, preference is given to natural materials - wood, forged elements, natural stone, mosaics and tiles, gilding. The same applies to fabrics - velvet, silk, satin. As you can see, although natural materials are preferred, all these materials look expensive. Also, it is worth highlighting a few mandatory attributes of the Arab interior.
High vaults
If you decide to recreate an Arabic interior at home, then you must understand that it will look organic only if the ceilings are very high. Moreover, these should not be just ceilings, but ceilings with patterned patterns on the ceiling and along the upper plinths, or, alternatively, with sail vaults. Not every apartment can do this. But if the height of the ceilings allows, then this is exactly what you cannot do without in a slave interior. Thanks to the high ceilings, all the rich decoration seems to be distributed in space and looks organic. And if the ceilings are low, then the impression of a small room full of objects will be created, even if it is a living room with a decent footage.
Good lighting
There is an opinion that twilight reigns in a room in an oriental interior. But this is a mistake. Low lighting is appropriate only in the evening, when people relax and rest before going to bed. Otherwise, the Arabic style includes large wide windows, an abundance of light and space, extensive, high-quality artificial lighting. When creating lighting, chandeliers with carved metal shades, similar to table lamps, will come to your aid. And in order to be able to create that very languid twilight, install chandeliers with adjustable lighting levels. And remember, in today's world, good lighting is an absolute must-have for any room, whether it's a nursery or a hallway.
Natural colors
The Arabic interior is characterized by rich, juicy, expressive, but natural colors. No acidity, no overly bright colors. But pastel colors are used extremely rarely, almost never. The most popular colors are carmine red, ultramarine, yellow, burgundy, ocher, emerald, terracotta, purple and others. Simply put, very powerful and expressive colors. And yes, they are used even in the bedroom. Naturally, you should not use them all at once, choose two or three colors that blend best with each other. And do not forget that some neutral color should still lie at the base - usually it is white, gray, cobalt, wood, sand.
Carving and ornament
It is very important to remember that in Arabic carvings and ornaments there are no animal motifs and images of people, as required by their religion. But on the other hand, plant motifs and complex geometric shapes are present in abundance. This fact must be remembered in order to create a truly authentic interior. Naturally, the most interesting Arabic ornament and carving will look on wood furniture. Low stools, wooden backs of sofas, coffee tables, cabinets with carved doors in the bathroom - all this will be very useful. But such an ornament can also be present on carpets, walls, and decor.
Color in textiles and decor
A lot of characteristic features of Arabic decor are concentrated in textiles and decor. Here you have squat soft sofas with bright upholstery made of silk, satin or velvet. And quilted with high pillows with tassels, fringe. And soft rollers made of the same silk and velvet, decorated with muslin. It is impossible not to recall the heavy velvet curtains with gilded fringe. As for the decor, it is easy to recall mirrors in chic gilded frames, perforated lamps, intricate floor lamps made of forged metal.
