Linoleum in the kitchen

Here, for example, is the kitchen. Apart from the furniture, one of the most difficult moments will be the selection of flooring for this room. After all, it is important to remember that special requirements are put forward for this room, and the complexity of the choice lies not only in choosing the most beautiful option. After all, you need to find an option that will withstand all those special conditions that are typical for this room.

You need to understand that the kitchen, like the bathroom, requires a special approach to choosing floor, wall and ceiling coverings. Changes in temperature, humidity, rapid contamination of the surface - the floor covering should endure all of the above without any problems. So you should immediately exclude such options as cork and wood flooring. The wood covering, undoubtedly, has high decorative indicators. Yes, and organically fits into any interior. However, it is quite expensive, but the resistance to moisture and temperature changes in this coating is low, so this is not the best option for the kitchen. Cork flooring is also expensive, but will please the owner with pleasant depreciation while walking and high rates of heat retention. However, this material is porous, thanks to which it perfectly absorbs fat and hardly tolerates wet cleaning. So it is better to place the cork flooring in the bedroom, and not in the kitchen.

A relatively good option for the kitchen is linoleum. It favorably differs from the previous options in a low price category, as well as high wear resistance. Plus, it’s also easy to care for, which only makes it better. Alas, it is also not very resistant to moisture and temperature extremes, although not to the extent that it happens with wood. Therefore, perhaps, this option is more suitable for the hallway.

Well, the best option can safely be called ceramic tiles. This flooring wins in all respects. The tile has a fairly long service life, is easy to clean, does not deteriorate from changes in temperature and humidity. At the same time, it is possible to cover the floor of the kitchen with tiles without the involvement of professionals. Of course, it is not as warm and pleasant in texture as the same tree, but this can be sacrificed, and practical convenience is much more important for the kitchen.
