In general, the main criteria when working with windows are their size, shape and design. By working on these three parameters, you can very effectively, but not obviously, improve the appearance of the room.

The size

Some mistakenly believe that the larger the window, the better. But this is not entirely true. Of course, large windows give more light, but it is important not to overdo it. A large wall-to-ceiling window would look great in a loft-style living room, and terrible if this living room is made in a Mediterranean style. Pay attention to the size of the window when choosing an interior style, otherwise the room may lose some of the special atmosphere that you were striving for.

The form

With the form, too, everything is not so simple. In most cases, the classic rectangular shape is used. However, for some interior styles it is not typical. The same Mediterranean style "prefers" small windows with rounded tops. For minimalism or hi-tech, rounded windows may seem like an excellent solution. In the children’s room, they can look like portholes, which will delight little lovers of pirates and the underwater world.

Decor

Under the design means the presence of curtains, window stickers, plants on the windowsills. For example, in the kitchen it is wiser to use blinds, as they are less dirty and easier to clean. And in the bedroom, full-fledged curtains are more appropriate, as they look much more comfortable. And in children's rooms, it is generally better to use shortened curtains so that children have less opportunity to catch on to something. Window stickers are appropriate in fusion, pop art, shabby chic or children's rooms. In other situations, their presence is highly questionable.
