Color combination rules

To obtain a harmonious interior, you will need to be guided by certain recommendations. Not always the use of trendy colors allows you to make the design modern and cozy. Here it is necessary to take into account a wide palette of colors, which only with the right combination allows you to create a single and beautiful space.

Designers have identified several basic rules that should be followed to obtain a harmonious interior:

•All shades can be divided into two categories: warm and cold. If the former help to make the room more comfortable, then the latter are able to visually enlarge the space. At the same time, lighter colors add air to the room, while dark ones, on the contrary, make it visually smaller.
•When combining colors, you will also need to take into account the chosen style, since each of them has its own key shades. For example, Provence is light and pastel colors, and for Scandinavian they choose white and light gray, with green and yellow accents.

Combining colors in different rooms

For kitchen

Preference should be given to the most calm colors, it can be pastel and light colors. As an accent, you can choose burgundy, dark blue or green colors.

For children

Often in such an interior excessively bright shades are used, which can irritate the nervous system, interfering with relaxation and rest. That is why it is worth abandoning too colorful shades, preferring pastel blue, mint, lemon and pink colors.

For bathroom

Usually a bathroom is a small room that should have maximum functionality. Therefore, it is worth choosing light and cold colors for it, with the help of which the rooms will look visually larger.

Blue, gray and white colors are considered a classic option, brown and beige can be used as warm ones.

For the living room

This is a place where the whole family relax and gather. Most often, the largest room is assigned to the living room, and therefore the shades chosen for it should create a harmonious and cozy atmosphere. It is not recommended to use yellow, orange and other too bright colors.

For the corridor

The little room you enter first. Usually this is a small room without natural light, so white, beige and gray tones are best for it. As accents, you can use red, blue and green colors.
