Baroque - pure luxury

In general, the Baroque style is not typical for modern times. Of course, you can meet some individual moments that are inherent in it, but in its pure form it is practically impossible to meet it. First, this style is very pretentious. It would be most suitable for a wealthy aristocracy who wants to demonstrate their wealth. But modern people, even rich ones, somehow do not need it, because there are other, more practical ways.

Secondly, it is a very "heavy" style. For example, the Mediterranean style or minimalism is perceived very easily and does not “blur” the eyes, while the abundance of elements in the Baroque style can get very boring, and in the shortest possible time. Thirdly, the Baroque style is very far from sophistication and sophistication. Of course, this style has its advantages, but it is quite straightforward. In this style, wealth, expensive decorative elements, materials, and so on are very revealing. If earlier it seemed interesting and pretentious, then in modern society it is considered rather boastful.

Fourthly, it is very difficult to create a baroque interior. It may seem that it is simple - you need to add gold color, carved details, stucco molding, large artsy chandeliers. But in fact it is very difficult to cross the line that separates the interior style and just an abundance of expensive elements. Moreover, if many other styles can forgive and smooth out mistakes, then in the Baroque style, any mistake destroys everything.

Fifth, this style does not tolerate small spaces. Due to the specificity of the "rich room" this style requires large rooms with high ceilings. Even the bathroom should be of extraordinary size.
