Why do you need window tint film?
There are an infinite number of reasons why progress simplifies human life. The most obvious example, of course, is a variety of technical devices, such as vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens and washing machines. Well, an example of not the most popular arguments is the presence of a huge number of coatings that protect some surface from damage without harming the decorative qualities of this very thing.

A tint film is just a coating that few people know about yet, but which has great potential. Its use can be due not only to the desire to look after your windows, but also to decorative impulses, which makes it an almost universal thing. Of course, it is not some kind of essential thing and it is quite possible to live without this element, however, it simplifies many aspects of operation and makes life, albeit a little, easier.
In general, the main function of the tint film is to protect the glass, and the room as a whole, from direct sunlight and the views of passers-by, which is important for a bedroom without curtains. Also, such a film can protect against mechanical damage, cracks on the glass. And also be a decorative element, since the tint film can be presented in different colors.
Actually, a window equipped with such a film will be much stronger than the option without a film. The tint film consists of polyester, which is both strong enough and elastic, besides, it can transmit light. Resistance to mechanical damage is achieved by spraying metal particles onto the surface. Accordingly, the thicker the layer, the higher the strength observed in the film. In addition, it can protect the room from scattering of fragments, which is very important for a children’s room. The film is attached to glue or water. Water, of course, is more accessible and costs almost nothing, but the glue, although it has a rather high price, provides a reliable fixation. So it's better to spend money on glue than constantly fix the film in place.
There are several widows of tint films, namely:
- 1. Protective film. Another name for it is anti-vandal. It is designed to protect the glass from impact and protect the room from splinters if the window is still broken. Typically, such a film is used in public places, such as
- , cinemas, etc.
- 2. Sunscreen. This film does not have such high characteristics in terms of resistance to mechanical damage, but it can please you by protecting the room from sunlight. This prevents fading of furniture upholstery, wallpaper and other light-sensitive elements.
- 3. Mirror. This type of film not only protects the room from the penetration of sunlight, but also creates a mirror surface that prevents you from looking into your house through the window. It can be placed in the
- , for example, if you do not want to use curtains, but you also do not want to demonstrate life to other people.
- 4. Decorative. This film has rather average technical parameters, however, it is also intended for interior decoration. As a rule, this is just a film of different colors that is applied to glass to add some color accent.
- 5. Architectural. Well, this type of film is intended for "outdoor use". It is glued to the glass on the outside of the building, and it is designed to make the glass stronger and protect it from damage.
It is important to understand that whichever option you choose, it should be installed by professionals, since the process of sticking the film requires some skill that ordinary people do not have. Also, during operation, brushes and other similar cleaning methods should be avoided so as not to scratch the film. It is enough to wipe the surface of the film with a soapy cloth.
