What carpets are in fashion now?
It is far from a secret that many eminent and not very designers have a persistent dislike for carpets in the interior. It is believed that this is a characteristic sign of the "scoop" and this is best avoided. Modern design trends lean towards minimalism in the interior, and carpets do not fit into this style at all. But still, this element of the interior has not yet gone out of use and still has quite a lot of popularity. So let's see why some carpets are diligently expelled from the interior, while others, on the contrary, become a welcome part of the room.

Carpets that have already gone out of fashion, each of us remembers. In our childhood, they were everywhere - in our house, in the houses of our friends, with our relatives. They lay on the floor and hung on the walls in the living room. They looked about the same - a short, hard pile, strange geometric patterns. They were used as soundproofing, as insulation and just for beauty. But now they have become unwanted.
These "carpets from childhood" had a lot of shortcomings, namely:
- • They pick up dust, wool, dirt, pollen very easily.
- • Paints fade very quickly.
- • When playing on a carpet, it is easy to get a "carpet burn".
- • Due to their "dust collector" qualities, they become potential allergens.
- • They are very heavy and clumsy.
In principle, although such carpets were quite popular, their decorative value is very conditional. As for the positive qualities, sound insulation and insulation are now on a completely different level than before, and it is much more logical to replace the carpet as a floor covering with parquet, linoleum and other coatings.
But now completely different carpets are becoming popular. They are much smaller, oval in shape. Their pile is long, soft, without patterns. They are used as bedside rugs and are especially common in the nursery. After all, children play on the floor, and such a rug protects them from hypothermia and, unlike their predecessor, cannot injure them. Of course, they also collect dust well, but they are much lighter and more compact, so they are much easier to care for. And, of course, they look much better.
