Despite the fact that many negative traits have been named that are inherent in curtains, it is much more reasonable to place them in the home. Of course, the cons don't go away. But the private room in which the family lives is much easier to control. There is no problem with washing curtains, since everyone has washing machines and irons. Also, the curtains do not interfere and are torn less often, since the house is not an office, and the flow of people next to the curtains is much less. In addition, many people need curtains to effectively darken the room. For example, to obstruct the light of a lantern, to limit sunlight on summer days, etc. In general, all the disadvantages that were inherent in the curtains in the office become completely insignificant and easily solved.

On the other hand, there are many more problems with blinds. Despite the ease of use, they look very concise and minimalistic, which is not to everyone's liking. Many people think that a window with blinds looks empty. The only room in the house where blinds can be installed without problems is the kitchen. The rest of the rooms should correspond to such styles as minimalism, hi-tech and the like. If the main part of the house leans towards such styles as country, modern, pop art, then it is better to use curtains.

For offices, you definitely should not use curtains. But the presence or absence of curtains in living quarters is a rather creative question. Here you need to look, understand, weigh all the pros and cons.
