One-room apartment. How to fit everything?
According to statistics, small one-room apartments are the most purchased property. Such apartments are usually bought by single young people, young families without children or with one child. After the purchase, the main issue becomes the organization of the space of a one-room apartment, in which it is necessary to fit a bedroom, a place for guests, a work area, and sometimes even a nursery. And besides this, you need to find a place for the necessary cabinets and chests of drawers, and you want the apartment not to look like a warehouse of things, so that it would be nice to be there and feel comfortable.

Yes, it sounds fantastic and seems absolutely impossible, but designers have cunning and creative solutions - how this can be implemented, if not completely, then partially. So, the arrangement of a one-room apartment, where to start and what principles to follow?
layout
There is no universal option for planning a one-room apartment. The choice depends on many factors. For example, for newlyweds or one person, a good option would be to create a studio apartment, that is, the demolition of all partitions and the creation of a single large space. But for a family with a child, this type of layout is not suitable. And in this case, the best option would be to separate part of the living room under the children's area. In the vast majority of cases, owners of one-room apartments want to have a separate sleeping and separate guest area. Of course, you can use a pull-out sofa for sleeping at night and for receiving guests during the day. This is a practical option in terms of saving space or a good solution for small apartments. In a spacious one-room apartment, the bed can be separated by a partition, and the guest area can be equipped with armchairs, ottomans and a coffee table. Also, if your apartment has a large kitchen, then the living area can be equipped by placing a small sofa there and hanging a TV on the wall. Do not forget about balconies and loggias. Their use can increase the area of \u200b\u200bthe apartment and significantly increase the functionality of your home. For example, in the case when the kitchen has access to the balcony, it can be combined with the kitchen and place a dining or guest area there. And if the loggia is adjacent to the room, it can be equipped as an office or even place a sleeping place there. But of course, before combining a balcony with residential areas, a balcony or a loggia should be insulated with high quality. If you do not want to use the balcony, then it is better to place the workplace by the window, using an enlarged window sill as a table.
Storage systems, furniture
In conditions of limited space, furniture should be placed against the walls, leaving the center of the room free. Use multifunctional, transformable furniture. It can be not only a folding sofa bed, folding beds, tables, roll-out cabinets, sliding tables, etc. The dining table can also be used as a work table, and the extended window sill as a kitchen work surface. When choosing between a set of upholstered furniture and a sofa, it is better to opt for a single sofa, this will also save you precious centimeters of space, and the functionality of the room will not suffer. Armchairs are comfortable, but they take up an unreasonably large area and are used, as a rule, quite rarely. It is better to buy furniture for a one-room apartment in a small area on order, so you can create a set of furniture that fits perfectly into the layout of the apartment and meets all your requirements. In a one-room apartment, every square centimeter of area is worth its weight in gold and it should be used rationally and economically, so you should use the upper space to the maximum. For example, instead of a chest of drawers, it is better to install a tall wardrobe in the same area, which will take up the same area, but will accommodate more things. But, at the same time, you should not abuse the installation of mezzanines, as they will visually reduce the space. Closed storage systems are the best option for a one-room apartment, as the visibility of things and objects on the shelves will create a feeling of clutter, which is contraindicated for small apartments. It is better to install cabinets with sliding doors, as swing doors “eat up” part of the area when opened. Install a wardrobe not in the room, but in the hallway, if its area allows, so you can leave the space of the living room free. And for outerwear, provide a small floor hanger or wall panel with hooks.
